Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PRPex is an investigational biologic therapy consisting of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) enriched with exosomes, developed by the Dr. Himanshu Bansal Foundation. It is designed for the treatment of chronic discogenic low back pain and degenerative disc disease. The therapy is administered via a fluoroscopy-guided intradiscal injection directly into the nucleus pulposus of the affected intervertebral disc. PRPex aims to promote tissue regeneration and repair by delivering a concentrated payload of growth factors and bioactive molecules, which are thought to facilitate stem cell maintenance, differentiation, and self-renewal within the degenerated disc environment.
