Autologous PSCA-CAR-T cells are an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting prostate stem cell antigen (PSCA), a cell-surface glycoprotein overexpressed in prostate cancers, particularly castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Developed by Hebei General Hospital in collaboration with Hebei Medical University and Hebei HOFOY Biotech, these CAR-T cells are engineered using a non-viral minicircle DNA (mcDNA) platform rather than traditional viral vectors. This non-viral approach aims to improve safety, reduce manufacturing costs, and avoid insertional mutagenesis. The therapeutic candidate is being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial in China for the treatment of patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer.
