Overview

This investigational autologous cell-based therapy, developed by Black Tie Medical, is designed for ovarian rejuvenation in patients with premature ovarian failure, perimenopause, and menopause. The treatment consists of a combination of autologous stromal vascular fraction (SVF)—derived from the patient's adipose tissue via lipoaspiration—and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) obtained from the patient's blood. The SVF component is a heterogeneous mixture containing adipose-derived stem cells, endothelial progenitor cells, pericytes, fibroblasts, and immune cells, which can be administered as tissue SVF (tSVF) or enzymatically digested cellular SVF (cSVF). The therapy is delivered via imaging-guided intra-ovarian injection and aims to restore hormonal function and regenerate ovarian tissue through the paracrine effects of stem cells and growth factors. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 1 OVAR-REJUV clinical trial.
