Overview

This is an investigational autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy developed by Shanghai OriginCell Therapeutics Co., Ltd. for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer. The therapy is a cell-based immunotherapy where the active ingredient consists of autologous T cells harvested from the patient's own tumor tissue, expanded ex vivo to large quantities, and then reinfused back into the patient. The treatment protocol involves a non-myeloablative lymphodepletion chemotherapy regimen (typically cyclophosphamide and fludarabine) to create a favorable environment for the cells, followed by the TIL infusion and subsequent administration of interleukin-2 (IL-2) to support T cell survival and proliferation. The TILs recognize and attack cancer cells through their natural T-cell receptors, which are specific to tumor-associated antigens present on the patient's tumor.
