Overview

Autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes stimulated by dendritic cells (DC-TIL) is an autologous adoptive cell therapy being developed for the treatment of malignant solid tumors. The therapy involves the isolation of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) from a patient's tumor tissue, which are then co-cultured and stimulated ex vivo with autologous dendritic cells (DCs). Dendritic cells, acting as potent antigen-presenting cells, are often pulsed with tumor-associated antigens to enhance the activation and expansion of tumor-specific T cell populations within the TIL product. This process aims to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and generate a more robust anti-tumor immune response upon re-infusion into the patient. The approach is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials sponsored by Gansu Provincial Hospital.
