Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Orbis Health Solutions is developing an autologous tumor-lysate cancer vaccine specifically for the treatment of osteosarcoma in dogs. This personalized immunotherapy is manufactured by creating a lysate from the patient's own tumor tissue, which contains a unique profile of tumor-specific antigens. Upon administration, the vaccine is intended to prime the canine immune system to recognize and eliminate cells expressing these specific antigens, thereby targeting the primary tumor and potentially preventing metastatic spread. The project is currently in the preclinical stage, with the developer intending to pursue clinical validation through the USDA regulatory pathway for veterinary biologics.
