Overview

Autologous tumor memory T cells (GS-T03) is an ex vivo expanded cell therapy being developed by Shanghai East Hospital for the treatment of solid tumors, including lung cancer and malignant pleural mesothelioma. The therapeutic involves isolating T cells from a patient's malignant pleural effusion and activating them using a proprietary nanodiamond-based artificial antigen-presenting cell (APC) system. This 14-day manufacturing process is designed to generate a population of memory T cells with enhanced anti-tumor cytotoxicity, high purity, and improved persistence. The program is currently undergoing in vitro validation and laboratory-based characterization to assess its potential for treating malignant pleural effusions associated with advanced cancers.
