The autologous tumor RNA-loaded dendritic cell vaccine is an investigational, patient-specific cellular immunotherapy developed by Radboud University Medical Centre. It consists of autologous monocyte-derived dendritic cells that are electroporated or pulsed with total RNA extracted from the patient's own tumor cells. This approach allows the dendritic cells to present a comprehensive array of tumor-associated antigens to the patient's immune system, aiming to stimulate a T-cell-mediated antitumor response. The vaccine is primarily evaluated in patients with multiple myeloma who have minimal residual disease (MRD) following autologous stem cell transplantation.
