Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Autologous tumor vaccine + toll-like receptor agonists is a personalized cancer immunotherapy candidate developed by Vaxine. This therapeutic approach utilizes patient-derived tumor antigens (autologous) to ensure the immune response is specifically targeted against the individual's unique cancer profile. The vaccine is combined with toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists and Vaxine's proprietary Advax adjuvant technology. The mechanism of action involves the TLR agonists stimulating the innate immune system to provide necessary co-stimulatory signals, which facilitates the priming and expansion of tumor-specific adaptive T-cell responses. This dual-action strategy is designed to overcome tumor-induced immune suppression and generate a potent anti-tumor effect. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
