Autologous whole tumor lysate-loaded XP-DC (XP-DC) is an investigational, personalized dendritic cell-based cancer vaccine developed by Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc). The cell therapy consists of conventional dendritic cells type 1 (cDC1)—a specialized, naturally circulating cross-presenting subset of dendritic cells—loaded ex vivo with autologous tumor lysate derived from the patient's own tumor tissue. XP-DC is designed to cross-present tumor-associated antigens and patient-specific neoantigens to T cells, thereby stimulating a robust, tumor-specific cytotoxic T-cell response. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase I/II NEODOC trial (NCT05773859) for the treatment of newly diagnosed advanced high-grade serous epithelial ovarian cancer, administered intranodally in combination with standard-of-care neoadjuvant/adjuvant carboplatin-paclitaxel chemotherapy and interval debulking surgery.
