AutoSynVax is a personalized synthetic cancer vaccine developed by Agenus and PureMHC. It is designed to stimulate the immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells by targeting patient-specific tumor neoantigens. The process involves identifying unique tumor neoantigens from each patient's tumor using genomic sequencing and advanced bioinformatics algorithms. Synthetic versions of these antigens are then complexed with heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), which helps deliver antigenic peptides to T-cells for robust immune activation. The vaccine is administered with QS-21 Stimulon adjuvant to further enhance immunogenicity. Preclinical studies have shown that AutoSynVax can induce anti-tumor immunity and work synergistically with checkpoint inhibitors such as CTLA-4 and PD-1 antagonists[1][2][3][5][7].
