AUTX-163 is an oral, small-molecule targeted protein degrader (TPD) designed to target lysine acetyltransferase 2A (KAT2A) and lysine acetyltransferase 2B (KAT2B). Developed by Auron Therapeutics using its AI/ML-powered AURIGIN platform, AUTX-163 is being investigated for the treatment of multiple inflammatory and immunological (I&I) diseases, including atopic dermatitis, asthma, and rheumatoid arthritis. KAT2A is upregulated in activated immune cells, where it coordinates key transcription factors to activate pro-inflammatory genes. By selectively degrading KAT2A and KAT2B, AUTX-163 aims to reduce upregulated KAT2A levels and restore immune homeostasis without impacting non-inflamed cells. The program has demonstrated preclinical validation across dermatology, respiratory, and rheumatology disease models.
