Auvandirog

Auvandirog (EID-101) is a small molecule matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor being developed by Ildong Pharmaceutical and its subsidiary Idience for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Matrix metalloproteinases are enzymes involved in the remodeling of the extracellular matrix, and their dysregulation is a key factor in the mucosal damage and inflammatory response seen in IBD patients. By inhibiting these enzymes, Auvandirog is intended to reduce tissue degradation and promote mucosal healing. The drug is currently in late-stage clinical development.
