Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AV0113 is an autologous dendritic cell-based cancer immunotherapy vaccine developed by Activartis Biotech. It utilizes a patented technology that combines patient-specific tumor antigens (derived from tumor cell lysates) with bacterial endotoxins as danger signals to activate monocyte-derived dendritic cells. These activated cells are designed to prime type 1 T helper cells, thereby stimulating a cytolytic anti-tumor immune response. While initially studied in glioblastoma, AV0113 has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for pediatric patients with refractory solid tumors, including bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
