Overview

**AVA-001** is a third-generation anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Avalon GloboCare for relapsed/refractory B-cell malignancies. It targets CD19 on B-cells, inducing immunologic cytotoxicity via T lymphocyte replacement, enhanced by 4-1BB or CD28 co-stimulation signaling to improve CAR T-cell persistence and reduce exhaustion. In a Phase I trial (NCT03952923), it achieved a 90% complete remission rate in 10 patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), with minimal toxicities (no neurotoxicity or >Grade 1 cytokine release syndrome), enabling all responders to proceed to allogeneic bone marrow transplant.[1][2][3][5][9][12]
