AVA2206 is a small molecule antioxidant being developed by Averoa Pharma for the treatment and prevention of rare forms of renal lithiasis (kidney stones), such as cystine lithiasis. Developed as part of the LUCIOL project, the compound is designed to address rare metabolic kidney diseases through its antioxidative properties. It is intended to be used in conjunction with a companion diagnostic, AVA2065, to identify and monitor patients. As of early 2026, the drug is in late preclinical stages and preparing for Phase I clinical evaluation.
