Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVANTBISE is a brand of oral care products developed by Wakamoto Pharmaceutical, which includes medicated toothpastes and oral tablets. The product line is designed to prevent bad breath, sensitive teeth, periodontitis, gingivitis, and dental caries. The AVANTBISE medicated toothpaste is formulated with live lactic acid bacteria WB2000 (Enterococcus faecium WB2000) as a cleaning agent, alongside zeolite, beta-glycyrrhetinic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, and aluminum lactate (for sensitive teeth). The AVANTBISE Oral Tablets are formulated with Lactobacillus salivarius WB21 and green tea catechin (epigallocatechin gallate, EGCg) to restore the balance of oral flora and neutralize bad breath-causing gases. These products are marketed in Japan as quasi-drugs and dietary supplements.
