Avantiss

Avantiss is a tissue-engineered vascular graft (TEVG) developed by the Chilean biotechnology company Cells for Cells (C4C). It is specifically designed for small-diameter vascular applications, such as peripheral artery disease or coronary artery bypass, where traditional synthetic grafts often fail due to high rates of thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia. Avantiss utilizes a proprietary bio-fabrication process to create a scaffold that supports the growth of a functional endothelial layer, aiming to provide a biocompatible and hemocompatible alternative to autologous veins or synthetic prostheses. The technology is part of C4C's regenerative medicine portfolio, which focuses on utilizing mesenchymal stem cells and advanced bio-engineering to address unmet medical needs in vascular and osteoarticular health.
