Overview

AVB-114 is an investigational, implantable autologous mesenchymal cell therapy from Avobis Bio for persistent complex perianal fistulas associated with Crohn's disease. The product consists of a patient's own adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells incubated on a three-dimensional, plug-shaped bioabsorbable matrix that is implanted into the fistula tract. It is intended to locally modulate inflammation, support tissue repair, and promote fistula healing. AVB-114 has received FDA Fast Track and Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy designations; its randomized Phase 2 STOMP-II study has reported positive 9-month combined clinical and radiological remission results, while Phase 3 planning is underway.
