Overview

AvenTri-Derm is a topical combination cream developed by Medcell Pharma, containing the corticosteroid beclomethasone dipropionate, the antifungal clotrimazole, and the aminoglycoside antibiotic neomycin. It is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis, that are complicated by secondary bacterial and/or fungal infections. Beclomethasone dipropionate reduces inflammation, redness, and itching by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Clotrimazole targets fungal infections by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, while neomycin prevents bacterial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis.
