Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVERSION-F is a combination ophthalmic suspension developed by Martia Laboratories for the treatment of bacterial eye infections accompanied by inflammation. It contains tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, and fluorometholone, a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid that reduces inflammatory responses by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins and other mediators. This topical formulation is indicated for conditions such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, and post-operative ocular inflammation, providing both antimicrobial action and symptomatic relief from redness and swelling.
