Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVEXO is an acellular secretome therapy being developed by KWHC (KWEHEALTH) for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. The therapy is designed to deliver a complex mixture of cell-secreted factors, including growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular vesicles (EVs), derived from therapeutic cells. This secretome-based approach aims to promote tissue repair and regeneration by modulating the local microenvironment and stimulating endogenous healing processes. As an acellular therapy, AVEXO offers potential advantages over traditional cell therapies, such as reduced immunogenicity and simplified storage and handling. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
