Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVI Pox is a live, freeze-dried veterinary vaccine containing the Cutter strain of the Fowl Pox virus. It is developed by Laprovet (a subsidiary of Ceva Animal Health) and marketed by Navana Pharmaceuticals. The vaccine is indicated for the active immunization of healthy chickens and turkeys to prevent fowl pox, a viral disease characterized by proliferative lesions on the skin (cutaneous form) or upper respiratory and digestive tracts (diphtheritic form). It is typically administered via the wing-web stab method to birds between 4 and 16 weeks of age.
