Overview

The avian influenza (H9 subtype) inactivated vaccine (NJ01 strain) is a veterinary biologic developed by Youbang Pharmaceutical for the immunization of poultry and waterfowl against the H9 subtype of the avian influenza virus. The vaccine utilizes the NJ01 strain, which has been inactivated to ensure safety while retaining its ability to stimulate a protective immune response. Upon administration, the vaccine induces the production of specific neutralizing antibodies against the viral hemagglutinin, thereby providing protection against infection and reducing viral shedding. This vaccine is particularly targeted at preventing the economic impact of low-pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) H9 infections in agricultural settings and is currently approved for veterinary use in China.
