Overview
AVID-388 is a preclinical-stage oncolytic adenovirus therapy developed by AdCure Bio for the treatment of solid cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is built upon the company's Artificial Vectors for Intravascular Delivery (AVID) platform, which utilizes engineered adenoviral vectors designed specifically for systemic (intravenous) administration. The AVID platform aims to overcome common challenges in oncolytic virotherapy, such as liver sequestration and neutralization by the immune system, allowing the virus to reach metastatic sites. AVID-388 is engineered to selectively infect tumor cells, replicate within them, and induce cell lysis, which subsequently triggers a localized and systemic anti-tumor immune response.
