Overview
AVID-448 is an engineered oncolytic adenovirus being developed by AdCure Bio for the treatment of solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is designed as a sequential systemic therapeutic intended for intravenous administration, utilizing AdCure's proprietary platform to facilitate tumor-cell infection and lysis while overcoming the delivery challenges associated with traditional intratumoral oncolytic therapies. The virus is engineered to selectively infect, replicate within, and lyse tumor cells, potentially triggering a systemic anti-tumor immune response. As of 2024, the program is in the preclinical discovery and refinement stage.
