Overview
Invicorp is an intracavernosal injection therapy used for the treatment of moderate to severe erectile dysfunction (ED), particularly in patients who have failed or have contraindications to oral phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It is a fixed-dose combination of two active ingredients: **aviptadil**, a synthetic form of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), and **phentolamine mesylate**, a non-selective alpha-adrenoceptor antagonist. Aviptadil acts on the veno-occlusive mechanism of the penis to reduce venous outflow, while phentolamine increases arterial blood flow into the penile tissue. Together, these components work synergistically to produce an erection upon sexual stimulation. Originally developed by Plethora Solutions, the drug is currently being investigated in Phase IV clinical trials by RestoriT Ltd for erectile dysfunction recovery following radical prostatectomy.
