Overview

AVP-04 (also known as AVP0458) is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Avipep, utilizing their proprietary "Avibody" platform. It consists of a compact antibody fragment targeting Tumor-Associated Glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72), also known as CA72-4 or Sialyl-Tn, which is highly expressed in various adenocarcinomas. The Avibody is conjugated to cytotoxic payloads such as PEG-vc-DM1 (a maytansinoid) or TCO-MMAE. A radiolabeled version, 124I-PEG-AVP04, has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for PET imaging to assess tumor biodistribution in patients with relapsed prostate cancer. The therapeutic candidate is being explored for the treatment of ovarian, gastric, and colon cancers.
