Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVR-25 is a preclinical-stage small molecule immunotherapy being developed by AyuVis Research. It is a chitin-derived oligosaccharide analog that acts as a potent antagonist of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), with a reported IC50 of 0.15 μM. By modulating the TLR4 pathway, AVR-25 aims to control the excessive inflammatory response associated with acute and chronic conditions. The drug is currently being investigated for the treatment of Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), Sepsis, and Acute Lung Injury/Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ALI/ARDS).
