Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVT32 is a biosimilar candidate to Keytruda (pembrolizumab), a monoclonal antibody. It is being co-developed, manufactured, and commercialized through a collaboration between Alvotech and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. This partnership aims to expedite the development process and broaden the global availability of the biosimilar, with both parties holding commercialization rights globally, subject to certain exceptions. As a biosimilar of pembrolizumab, AVT32 is expected to act as a checkpoint inhibitor by targeting Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), thereby enhancing the body's anti-tumor immune response.
