AVTR101 is a botanical drug candidate developed by the South Korean biotechnology company Aventi for the treatment of sarcopenia. It is a standardized extract derived from *Schisandra chinensis* (commonly known as Omija). The therapeutic is designed to address age-related muscle loss and functional decline by promoting muscle protein synthesis and improving mitochondrial function. AVTR101 is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its efficacy in improving physical performance and muscle strength in elderly patients with sarcopenia. The drug is administered orally, typically three times daily.
