Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVX-201 is a discontinued oral prophylactic vaccine developed by Aviex Technologies for the prevention of Influenza A virus infections, specifically intended for pandemic influenza. The vaccine was designed as an immunostimulant using the company's proprietary YS1646 platform, which utilizes a live-attenuated *Salmonella typhimurium* bacterial vector to deliver antigens and stimulate a protective immune response. Development reached the preclinical stage in the United States, but the project was discontinued as of September 2023.
