Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVX70561 is an investigational therapeutic HPV immunotherapy being developed by AstriVax for the treatment of persistent human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and prevention of progression to HPV-related precancerous lesions and solid tumors.[2][3] It is based on AstriVax’s Launch-IT viral vector vaccine platform and is designed to elicit a strong, antigen-specific CD8+ T-cell response against HPV-infected cells, thereby clearing persistent infection and reducing oncogenic risk.[2] The program is currently at the discovery to preclinical proof-of-concept stage, with development focused on neoplastic indications driven by persistent HPV infection.[1][2][3]
