Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVZO-022 (also known as ARTS-022) is a selective small-molecule inhibitor of Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 4 (CDK4) being developed by Avenzo Therapeutics. It is designed for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive (HR+) breast cancer and other advanced solid tumors. By selectively targeting CDK4 while potentially sparing CDK6, AVZO-022 aims to reduce the hematologic toxicities, such as neutropenia, frequently associated with dual CDK4/6 inhibitors. The candidate is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
