Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AWT041 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Anwita Biosciences for the treatment of solid tumors. This therapeutic candidate is designed to simultaneously target Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1). By targeting VEGF, AWT041 exerts anti-angiogenic activity to disrupt tumor blood vessel formation, while its PD-L1 blockade enhances anti-tumor immunity by inhibiting immune checkpoint signaling. The molecule further incorporates a cytotoxic payload to provide targeted cell killing. This multi-pronged approach aims to reprogram the tumor microenvironment and improve therapeutic outcomes in patients with various solid malignancies.
