Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AX-010 is a preclinical-stage conditioned mesenchymal stem cell (cMSC) therapy being developed by Axiom Biosciences for the treatment of hemorrhagic stroke. The therapy utilizes mesenchymal stem cells that have been "conditioned"—a process typically involving exposure to specific environmental stimuli or signaling molecules—to enhance their therapeutic secretome, including the production of neurotrophic factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines. In the context of hemorrhagic stroke, AX-010 is intended to mitigate the secondary brain injury caused by neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, while simultaneously promoting neural repair and functional recovery. The program represents a regenerative medicine approach to addressing the significant morbidity associated with intracranial bleeding.
