AX208

AX208 is a small molecule neuroprotective compound that was developed by Axaron Bioscience AG for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders. Identified through Axaron's proprietary drug discovery platforms, the compound was designed to prevent neuronal death and support recovery in the central nervous system. It was part of the company's early-stage pipeline in the mid-2000s, positioned alongside their lead clinical candidate AX200 (recombinant human G-CSF). However, following the failure of AX200 in clinical trials and subsequent corporate restructuring of the parent company (SYGNIS Pharma), development of AX208 appears to have been discontinued in the preclinical stage.
