Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Axiban is a brand of medical cannabis products developed through a partnership between Panaxia Pharmaceutical Industries, Rafa Laboratories, and PlantEXT. Primarily marketed in Israel by Rafa Laboratories, Axiban is widely known as a line of sublingual drops containing precise, standardized ratios of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). These sublingual formulations are prescribed for various indications approved by the Israeli Ministry of Health, including chronic neuropathic pain, metastatic cancer pain, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), and spasticity in multiple sclerosis. Additionally, under the same brand name, PlantEXT has developed a topical CBD and terpene-rich cream formulation specifically targeted at relieving arthritis and joint pain.
