Overview

AXP1020 is a recombinant trivalent rotavirus subunit vaccine developed by Sino-Innovax Biotech (Xiamen Innovax Biotech) in collaboration with Xiamen University and Wantai BioPharm. Expressed using an *Escherichia coli* expression system, the vaccine contains a truncated version of the rotavirus spike protein VP4 (specifically targeting the P[4], P[6], and P[8] genotypes). It is designed to prevent rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants and young children by inducing neutralizing antibodies against rotavirus. AXP1020 is currently in Phase I clinical development following CTA approval in China.
