Overview

AXP1035 is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine candidate developed by Xiamen Innovax Biotech in collaboration with Xiamen University for the prevention of respiratory tract infections caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). The vaccine is produced using a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell expression system and targets the pre-fusion conformation of the RSV fusion glycoprotein (pre-F), which is a key antigen for inducing high-titer neutralizing antibodies. AXP1035 has been developed in both adjuvanted and adjuvant-free lyophilized formulations. In preclinical studies, the vaccine demonstrated a favorable safety profile and elicited robust protective immune responses in animal models. The clinical trial application (CTA) for the vaccine has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China, and it is currently in Phase I clinical development.
