AZD-0424

AZD-0424 is an orally bioavailable small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively targets both Src and Abl kinases. Developed as an antineoplastic agent, it inhibits the phosphorylation of key tyrosine residues on these kinases, which are often upregulated in certain tumor cells and play important roles in tumor cell proliferation and metastasis. Preclinical studies demonstrated anti-tumor activity through G1 cell cycle arrest in sensitive cancer cell lines. In clinical development, AZD-0424 reached phase I trials for advanced solid tumors but was discontinued due to insufficient efficacy as a monotherapy[1][2][3][5][8].
