AZD7798 is an investigational monoclonal antibody developed by AstraZeneca for the treatment of Crohn's disease. It is designed to deplete CCR9-positive (CCR9+) T cells, which play a role in gut inflammation. By targeting and reducing these specific immune cells, AZD7798 aims to decrease intestinal inflammation and promote mucosal healing in patients with moderate to severe Crohn’s disease.
