AZD8205 + AZD9574 is an experimental combination therapy being developed by AstraZeneca for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors. AZD8205 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that targets B7-H4 (VTCN1), a protein often overexpressed in various cancers, and delivers a cytotoxic topoisomerase I inhibitor payload directly to the tumor cells. AZD9574 is a potent, brain-penetrant, and selective inhibitor of Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP1). The combination is designed to exploit the synergistic potential of targeted cytotoxic delivery and the inhibition of DNA damage repair, which may enhance anti-tumor activity in B7-H4-expressing malignancies such as breast, ovarian, endometrial, biliary tract, and squamous non-small cell lung cancers.
