AZD8630 (also known as AMG 104) is an investigational biologic drug being developed for the treatment of uncontrolled asthma in adults. It is a human IgG1 lambda Fab fragment that targets and inhibits thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), a cytokine involved in airway inflammation associated with asthma. By blocking TSLP, AZD8630 aims to reduce airway inflammation and decrease the risk of asthma exacerbations. The drug is administered via inhalation using a dry powder inhaler and is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for patients with moderate-to-severe or uncontrolled asthma who remain symptomatic despite standard therapy. The development of AZD8630 is led by AstraZeneca in collaboration with Amgen[4][5][7][8].
