Overview

AZD9592 + pembrolizumab is a combination therapy consisting of AZD9592, an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed for the treatment of solid tumors, and pembrolizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), approved for multiple cancer types. AZD9592 is designed to selectively deliver a cytotoxic payload to tumor cells expressing its target antigen, while pembrolizumab acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor, preventing the interaction of PD-1 with its ligands to enhance T-cell mediated immune responses against tumors. The combination aims to produce synergistic antitumor activity by leveraging the direct cytotoxic effects of the ADC and the immune system activation provided by pembrolizumab. This combination is currently under investigation in phase 1 clinical trials for advanced solid tumors[1][5][3].
