Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xtralite is a topical combination cream containing azelaic acid and tretinoin, developed by La Pristine Bioceuticals. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of melasma, hyperpigmentation, and acne. Azelaic acid acts as a competitive inhibitor of tyrosinase, reducing melanin synthesis in hyperactive melanocytes, and also exhibits anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties against Cutibacterium acnes. Tretinoin, a retinoid, binds to and activates retinoic acid receptors (RARs), promoting rapid skin cell turnover and epidermal renewal. Together, these active ingredients work synergistically to fade dark spots, improve skin texture, and clear blemishes.
