Overview

AZP-IL4R-AD1 is a first-in-class, orally available small molecule interleukin-4 receptor (IL-4R) inhibitor being developed by Azcuris for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It works by antagonizing the IL-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα), which is involved in the type-2 inflammatory pathway that plays a key role in atopic diseases. By blocking this receptor, AZP-IL4R-AD1 aims to inhibit the signaling pathways of IL-4 and IL-13, key cytokines that drive type 2 inflammatory responses associated with atopic dermatitis.
