**AZT-101** is an inhaled formulation of cromolyn sodium developed by AZTherapies for neurological indications. Cromolyn sodium is a mast cell stabilizer that inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and cytokines from mast cells, thereby targeting neuroinflammation. AZTherapies is evaluating it as part of the combination therapy ALZT-OP1a (cromolyn sodium + sildenafil) in Phase 2 trials for post-ischemic stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI).[8]
