Overview

B-306 is a preclinical small molecule therapeutic being developed by WM Therapeutics. It is the lead compound generated from the company's proprietary Translational Trap (TT) technology platform. B-306 is designed to induce the integrated stress response (ISR) by modulating the eIF2α pathway, which subsequently inhibits cellular protein synthesis and translation. This mechanism aims to block the proliferation of overactivated cells associated with malignancy and autoimmunity. In preclinical studies, B-306 has demonstrated tumor growth inhibition in SKOV-3 ovarian cancer xenograft models. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, including multiple myeloma and B-cell lymphoma, as well as inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune vasculitis. Its ability to hijack host cell protein-making machinery also suggests potential applications in treating viral infections.
