Overview

B-GEn is a proprietary, rationally engineered nuclease designed for high-precision genome editing. It is characterized by high on-target activity that equals or exceeds that of commercially available Cpf1 (Cas12a) nucleases, while maintaining minimal off-target effects. The platform supports simultaneous multiplex editing and targeted integration (knock-in) of genomic cargo, such as GFP tags, using donor templates. Studies using INDUCE-seq have demonstrated that B-GEn-mediated editing occurs rapidly, primarily within the first six hours post-transfection, and ceases by 72 hours without inducing significant chromosomal abnormalities or structural variations. B-GEn is being developed as a versatile tool for a wide range of therapeutic applications in gene and cell therapy.
